Some roads see constant police patrols. Park carelessly there and a ticket is likely. So where should you take particular care?

1. Long stays outside a station
Station forecourts are among the busiest places in the city, so enforcement is constant. Park there and the chance of a ticket from a passing patrol is high. Avoid it where you can.

2. Changing lanes on a solid line on an elevated road or in a tunnel
Change lanes before entering a tunnel or elevated section. Cross a solid line once inside and a ticket is likely. Busy commercial streets carry the same risk.

3. Outside a hospital
The emergency access outside a hospital is normally a no-parking zone. Blocking an ambulance route is serious, and a ticket is very likely.

4. Long stays in temporary or prohibited parking areas
A temporary stop is one thing; a long stay invites a ticket. In a genuine emergency, switch on the hazard lights to show you are about to move, and a short stop usually passes. Where the sign says no parking, do not park at all.
